Preschool FAQ

What is your mission statement?

Our Mission is to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment for children while continuing to strengthen their early childhood development cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically. We have a curriculum that integrates language development, literacy, math and science; and is designed to facilitate creative, hands-on learning experiences. We will strive to meet the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each individual child.

Will my child eat lunch and snack?

We have lunch time beginning around 11:30 AM each day. We ask that parents bring a sack lunch and drink for their children. We do have small refrigerators in each classroom. A morning snack will be provided.

Is your building secure?

Austin Avenue UMC has all exterior doors locked from the outside. The only entry point is staffed with a receptionist to greet each person as they enter. You must also sign your child in and out at their classroom. Children will only be released to individuals authorized on their enrollment forms. Driver’s Licenses will be required for individuals other than parents.
